Enhance children's physics and chemistry learning ability SPM Online Tutoring - Physics & Chemistry (Form 4 & Form 5) The new semester of 2026 has begun! Is your child ready for SPM Math and Science? I am Ray Chan, a specialist Physics and Chemistry tutor, and also a Pharmacy major. Math and Science are always the most difficult subjects in SPM because they not only include theory but also calculation problems. The exam questions are also tricky, and there are experimental questions, putting a lot of pressure on students. But no matter how difficult, there are solutions. First, Physics and Chemistry must be prepared well in advance during the start of the semester, because each unit has its own level of difficulty (theory and calculation problems). Students need to not only read the school textbooks but also use other reference books (such as Success/Focus, ideally used together). This will make the child's preparation twice as effective. 1) Physics: In addition to covering theory, many Physics problems require calculations based on the theory to arrive at the answer. In exams, many students believe that a high score on Paper 2 guarantees a high grade, but this is not the case. Paper 1 is what truly helps students achieve high scores. If you do well on Paper 1, the scores on Paper 2 will naturally follow. I will have students complete at least 7-10 mock exams within a year to give them more confidence for SPM Physics. Some more difficult units, such as Wave, require at least two to three reference books to understand thoroughly, plus some mnemonic devices (Ray Michael Is Very..., to understand Radio Wave, Microwave, Infrared...). I once tutored a student who, after a month of instruction, improved from 8/40 on multiple-choice questions to 20/40. Therefore, using the right methods is very important in exams. 2) Chemistry: Chemistry emphasizes not only theory but also experimental calculation problems. This includes numerous memorization methods. Much of chemistry theory doesn't rely heavily on logic, as answers are derived through experiments. Therefore, the vast amount of chemical components is largely memorized. However, there are always effective memorization methods. I will provide students with creative memorization techniques, allowing them to memorize all the answers without too much strain to face the exam. For example, (Reactivity Series: Please Stop Calling... - Potassium, Sodium, Calcium...). We will conduct online classes, with no more than 15 students per class to ensure individual attention. By using the above methods, I guarantee your child will at least be able to choose between an A and a B, giving them more options in university (such as IT, medicine, or pharmacy).
